Power of Sharing

What a whirlwind the past week has been!

Running wise it was another consolidation week for me, before the next six week build, 70kms in the bank with three rest days, which was perfect timing since we flew over to Sydney to appear on TV.

Of the track was where it was all happening, appearing on Paul Murray Live, on Sky News Australia on Thursday night was something special. When starting this campaign to run 1000 kilometres to raise $1 million dollars, we knew that it would only happen if we could get seen on a national stage. I mean lets face it, the only people that are really aware of this health crisis are the grieving families and the people working within this environment.

This is why we cannot thank Paul enough for inviting us on his show so soon after connecting. Having been personally affected by the loss of his own son, Leo, not long after birth, Paul knows exactly why we need this campaign to be successful.

What came next was an overwhelming outpouring of love and support for our journey ahead, the donations, the kind words and the opportunities that have arisen from this appearance have been amazing. Tim and I could not sleep Thursday night as we were buzzing from the excitement, and as we are self funding this event we were grateful that our trip had hit the spot.

Yesterday I spent 3 hours replying to all of the donations and messages of support as I am truly grateful for everyone that has supported our journey so far.

The power of sharing is what will help us to achieve our goals and we will always keep asking our supporters to share our story, our run, our social media pages our website. And not just once, continue to share so that we can reach those that are prepared to listen and understand that Stillbirth can affect any family, it does not discriminate. The more awareness we create the greater chance to make a difference to the incidence and impact of Stillbirth in Australia.
