Mitsubishi Story

Last week we were handed a brand new Mitsubishi Pajero from Mitsubishi Motors Australia, by John Signoriello, Chair of the Board Mitsubishi Motors Australia. This is ours for the next 6 months, so that we can put our supporters on there, promote our million dollar run and to provide as back up support during my run to Port Melbourne.

Tim and I have a forever connection with Mitsubishi as we were both working there when we lost Celeste. I will be forever grateful for how I was treated at the time, my wellbeing was what they cared about, it is a story you will learn more about in our upcoming documentary. John was so right when he said it’s because at Mitsubishi you are family and family wrap their arms around each other during tough times.

Walking into Head Office again and meeting John and Suzanne, who were both colleagues are the time, felt like going home. It was comfortable and genuine.

I have mentioned numerous times how grateful, and at times overwhelmed, at the support we have received since announcing such a mammoth task, but this is truly incredible and generous. It means that my support crew can not only ride in comfort but access areas that they would not have been able to in an RV or normal sedan.

On the running side, I had a pretty good week, getting a few PB’s according to Strava, hopefully I am not peaking 3 months to early!! I am feeling good, and fresh after a couple of lighter weeks, but back to the next building block this week and lets see where that takes me over the next few weeks.

Drive Your Ambition….. the Mitsubishi tagline, but seems quite apt doesn’t it for what I am doing.
