Training on Track

This picture is me waiting to be let into the house Sunday after a 3-hour run, Tim dropped me of at the Happy Valley Reservoir at 8am and I made my way home via a few national parks, 27kms in total. This also wrapped up my week of running, 90kms in the leg bank, my biggest week to date. and I couldn't be happier with how I am tracking.

It is fair to say I get a lot of time to think while pounding the trails and pavement, and not just about what I want to eat when I get home!

I think about what more I could be doing to raise attention, I think about the road ahead and how it is going to be a challenge, I think about how on earth I am going to raise $1 million dollars when Stillbirth is still being ignored as a health crisis and not just by the government. I think about what my daughter would have been like, I think about what my son missed out on by not having his big sister, I think about the people that are quick to jump on a bandwagon of a celebrity, like they have known them for years, I think about why people would not want to donate the price of a takeaway coffee to something so meaningful, I think about why people are too scared to share a post about my run or lunch, but mostly I think about how determined I am to make a difference because being a member of the Stillbirth club is shit.

I am not running to be seen.

I am running to be heard.
