3 Sleeps
With 3 sleeps until the start of my run, we are finalising the last of the logistics.
This past week has been a bit of a blur to be honest. There has been a lot going on, aside from a few shorter runs and my final gym sessions, its been all about the logistics. Locking in accommodation, gaining a few more sponsors to help out with our running costs and writing a whole heap of lists.
A list for food, and that is huge.
A list for contingencies and what if’s.
A list for support stops and contingencies based on weather.
A list for first aid.
A list for clothing requirements, contingencies for weather.
A list for all the lists!
I am not sure if I am nervous, scared, excited or overwhelmed currently, but I do know the task ahead is huge and I am not underestimating the toll it may take. So when people ask me what pace I will be running, or how quickly will I do it, as though I am in a race, I politely remind them, that it will look like, whatever it will look like. Somedays I will feel great and my pace will represent that, and some days (probably a lot) I will feel crap and my pace will reflect that.
But what I do know, is that I will keep moving forward towards Port Melbourne, regardless of what that looks like, as that is what the goal is.
If you are around Seacliff at 6.45am on Friday, then pop down and give me a little starting boost.
This will most likely be my last blog for a while, but you can follow my journey via my socials Stillrunning for Stillbirth on Instagram and Facebook.
